[Fix] Cannot restore or update iPod Shuffle in iTunes: Error 1415, 1417, 1418, 1428, 1429, 1430, 1436

When I tried to restore my iPod Shuffle. I got this error. It seems the my front USB port is not up for the job. So, I plugged it to the back of computer and it work just fine. Here’s is the official steps you can follow.

  • Try connecting your iPod to a different USB port and then attempt to restore.
  • Remove other USB Devices. Flash drives, printers.
  • Re-register .dll files. iTunes displays -50 error message when syncing iPod on Windows XP
  • For Windows users, update or reinstall your Windows USB drivers.Source
