I was going through Google Labs and really impressed by the progress of Google Search. Some very unique ideas are in development. The future is almost here!

Word searches

Wonderwheel – A very good tool to get brainstorming idea for projects, blog posts etc.

Social Search – Find blogs, reviews and other public content from your Gmail chat buddies .

Timeline – A web application that organizes information chronologically. Google News Timeline allows users to view news, scanned newspapers and magazines, blog posts, sports scores, and more on a zoomable, graphical timeline. Awesome huh?

The Future? – There’s just endless possibility.

Audio Search

You can search for spoken words inside a video! I did know that this was possible but, at this scale? That’s really cool!

The Future: Sometimes, I know the tune of a song but not the name of the song. I think this technology will help me do that.

Image search

Similar Images – “Search for images using pictures rather than words.” but not quite…

The Future: You can search for images using images but, you still have to type in your search query. A literal image can come into the arena where, we can upload photos and search!
